  • Artificial Intelligence, or AI, has long been an idea used in science fiction books, movies, and TV. But now as the technology becomes a reality, we are beginning to see how this technology has the potential to change the way we think and work into new industries. One industry, for example, that is facing a lot of change is the movie industry.

Presently, AI is helping mostly in the production phase, using special effects and editing technology. It creates beautiful visual effects and helps speed up the editing process, making it more efficient and cost-effective. Before, an artist would need hours or months to finish a project, and now A.I can do it in a matter of minutes.

That is not all that A.I can do. It’s also possible for actor’s faces to be adjusted to show different emotions, and used to change their voices and put them into different languages. It is likely in the future that actors will no longer be needed to act anymore, and their voices and faces could be easily programmed with a computer. Movies would also no longer need to take months or years to make, and the costs would be a lot less.

Many artists, writers, directors, and actors are now worried that they will lose their jobs to A.I technology. Already, Hollywood has protested against these changes, but the future is mostly uncertain for them. It’s not only artists who are worried about the changes A.I will make to the movie industry. Cinemas also share the concern about the possibilities of virtual reality movies and how they will change the way audiences will want to see movies. Some experts predict that instead of going to the cinema, movies will be seen with virtual reality, and you will be able to explore the world it creates. People wouldn’t have to leave their homes anymore and they could easily put on virtual reality goggles and experience the movie there.

Overall, AI looks to bring significant changes to the movie industry. As technology advances, it will be fascinating to see how AI continues to change the way movies are created and enjoyed by audiences.
